MY STORY

My name is Nizar Sbaih. I am a self-taught contemporary abstract artist. Originally from Morocco, I now live in Paris, France. My artistic journey began in 2020 when I started questioning myself and the world around me. During this time, I was looking for a way to express my thoughts through artistic means. Soon, I fell in love with abstract art. It really gave me the freedom to express my feelings and emotions, which is exactly what I was looking for. I use a range of mediums in my artwork, including acrylic paint, oil pastels and recycled materials. My work focuses on my inner thoughts about the world around me, especially my special connection with nature, life and people.

IN THE MAKING

Sustainable approach to human activities is an important aspect of my life. Art is no exception. When it comes to self-expression, I use recycled materials and upcycle things around me. This is how the idea of repurposed vases and candles came into my mind. I reuse a variety of bottles I have left from food and drinks and repurpose them into art forms. I use natural soy for the candles as well. All the process is done manually and I am the one to design and create everything by hand.
